About Keystone Lake
Keystone Lake holds spot 57 on the LakePA 100. It is a 950-acre reservoir in Armstrong County, part of the Southwest region. The acreage comes from the Fish and Boat Commission's PA Lakes map. Gas motors are allowed with a size limit, so expect some motorboats. (Boat rules as listed by the county boating rules in 58 Pa. Code § 111.3.) There are two put-ins on our list for this lake, among them Atwood access area and Numine access area. Atwood access area has a launch ramp and parking listed as 10 spaces or more. Launching at a Fish and Boat Commission or state park site requires a Pennsylvania boat registration or a PFBC or State Parks launch permit. It is held back by a dam: stay well clear of the dam, the spillway and the outlet structures. It counts toward the Southwest region milestone.
