Privacy

The short version.

No accounts, no analytics, no tracking cookies, no ads. Your lake list stays on your device. We store order details only to deliver what you bought, and we delete or hash them on a schedule.

What we don't do.

Pages make no requests to any third party; PayPal is contacted only after you press Buy. We don't use analytics scripts or tracking cookies, and we don't sell or share personal data. Cookies are set only on forms and library pages, to keep them secure.

Your tracker.

Lakes, dates and notes you mark are stored in your browser. They leave your device only if you share your save link or add your lake list to a paid certificate. “Near me” uses your location once, on your device.

When you buy.

PayPal sends us your PayPal email address, the transaction ID, the product and the amount. We use the email only to send your library link and order emails. If you make certificates, gifts or a group pack, we store the names, lake lists, gift recipient addresses and messages you enter.

How long we keep it.

• Payment records (transaction ID, product, amount, date and a hashed payer email): 7 years, for tax records. Your plain email address is replaced by a hash when your library expires.
• Library personal data (certificate names, lake lists, group names, gift recipients and messages): deleted 30 days after the library expires, or immediately when you choose “Delete my data”.
• PayPal notification logs: payer fields redacted after 18 months; notifications that aren't ours, after 7 days.
• Email send log: 180 days.
• IP addresses: stored only as salted hashes, for rate limits and abuse protection.

Who else sees it.

PayPal, to process your payment. Our email is sent from our own server. No one else.

Deleting your data.

Use "Delete my data" in your library. It anonymises names, lake lists and gift details and closes the library; the payment record stays.

The yearly email.

If you tick the box in your library, we email you once a year when a re-checked season Field Log is out. Every one of those emails has a one-click unsubscribe link and an unsubscribe header. We send no other marketing email.

Children.

The site is for a general audience; purchases are for adults 18 and older.
