Milestones

Thirteen milestones mark the way through the list. They are self-reported: you mark lakes on your own device, and we don't check anyone's record. There are no cold-season milestones, and nothing here asks you to paddle in winter.

1. First Ten

   10 lakes paddled.

2. Quarter Way

   25 lakes paddled.

3. Halfway

   50 lakes paddled.

4. Three Quarters

   75 lakes paddled.

5. All 100

   100 lakes paddled (alternates count toward the 100).

6. Northwest Complete

   Every list lake in the Northwest region (13 lakes).

7. North Central Complete

   Every list lake in the North Central region (16 lakes).

8. Northeast Complete

   Every list lake in the Northeast region (17 lakes).

9. Southwest Complete

   Every list lake in the Southwest region (17 lakes).

10. South Central Complete

    Every list lake in the South Central region (19 lakes).

11. Southeast Complete

    Every list lake in the Southeast region (18 lakes).

12. Quiet Water 25

    25 Quiet Water lakes.

13. Big Water 10

    10 Big Water lakes.

Certificates

A certificate puts your name and milestone on a printable page, with an optional second page listing your lakes and dates from your tracker. Certificates say 'self-reported' because they are.

Questions

Do alternates count?

Yes. An alternate counts toward your total (up to 100) and toward its own region's milestone.

What if a lake closes after I've paddled it?

It stays on your record and still counts. A lake that later leaves the list is kept as a legacy lake in your tracker.

Are milestones checked?

No. Milestones are self-reported: you mark lakes on your own device, and we don't check anyone's record.

Is there a winter milestone?

No. There are no cold-season milestones, and we don't encourage paddling in cold water.
